Hail Damage Claims

If your home has been in a hail or high wind event, you may have roof damage. You may have a small leak inside your home that you need to get reviewed. Where did that leak come from? Let NCC use our expertise identifying roof damage and filing claims to help you! NCC provides on-site inspections of your roof and home exterior free of charge. This will help you file a roof damage insurance claim that is backed by strong evidence of the damage. We can also help you settle claims that have already been denied. In fact, in Florida, claims can be reopened for up to five years.

Hail—chunks of frozen rain that develop in thunderstorm clouds—can substantially damage a property’s siding, screens, gutters, or roofing material. Often, this damage isn’t visible to the untrained eye, as the loss of protective granulation of roofing is difficult for non-experts to detect. High winds that also develop in similar conditions can further strengthen the force with which hail hits and can also cause damage on its own by ripping away shingles or tiles, breaking roofing seals, and blowing objects like trees into your home’s exterior.

Determining whether or not it is worth filing a hail damage claim comes down to how severely your property was damaged. Any signs that your roof may be damaged to the point of allowing water into the house should be addressed immediately, given how problematic this can become. Rain entering your structure can lead to weakened joists, warped beams and even hazardous mold and mildew growth. If you’re planning to put your property on the market in the near future, you will want to have even small cosmetic issues remedied as soon as possible to ensure you get the best return on your investment.
